The Aleppo Pine is a large, evergreen tree that grows quickly.

This particular species can be found in Australia, where it has been widely planted in war memorial sites.

When fully grown, it can reach heights of over 20 meters and have a trunk diameter of up to 1 meter. Its unique needles, which are bright green, curved, and commonly found in pairs, are joined by a 1-centimeter basal sheath and easily distinguish it from other pine species.

This tree has a single trunk that branches out into a circular crown, with scaly, grey bark and a red underside. Aleppo Pine reproduces solely through seeds, which are contained in cones that typically grow in dense clusters beneath the branches.

Adapted to thrive in regions with annual rainfall ranging from 350 to 700 mm, Aleppo Pine is a versatile species that can flourish in various soil types, although it thrives best in rocky limestone soil.
