Quickly growing tree with attractive, blue-green foliage in gracefully sweeping branches. White flowers bloom from winter to summer.

One of the most common hardwood plantation eucalypts found in Australia, native to Tasmania, the Bass Strait Islands, and southern Victoria.

Best suited for medium to heavy, moist soil in a sunny, open location.

Drought and frost resistant.

Growing notes: Eucalyptus germinates easily from seeds and is typically considered one of the simplest natives to grow from seed.

Eucalyptus seeds come in varying sizes, from fine to several millimeters long.

As a general rule, fine seeds should be sown on the surface of a porous mixture, while larger seeds can be planted 1-2 mm deep. Cold stratification for 21-28 days is not essential for germination, but it can boost germination rates for this particular species.

This is a cool mountain eucalyptus that usually requires a cold winter before germinating.
