Illyarrie - Eucalyptus erythrocorys
The product known as Illyarrie - EUCALYPTUS erythrocorys with a common name of Red Cap Gum.
It belongs to the Myrtaceae family and can grow up to 5m (16') in height and up to 4m (13') in width.
This quick-growing, adaptable evergreen tree is one of the most attractive Eucalypts, featuring dark green foliage, smooth white bark, and striking red buds and yellow flowers in Autumn.
The flower buds are unique, with a bright red square cap and a red cross on top, which open to reveal beautiful yellow flowers that measure 5cm (2") across in large numbers.

Cultivation: Transplant to individual containers when large enough to handle. Plant out at 20 cm (8″) tall.
Water in well and water regularly during first summer. Apply a small amount of slow release low-phosphate fertiliser.
Responds well to pruning. Can be cut back hard if required to maintain preferred shape and size.
