An upright (i.e. erect) and spreading shrub or small tree usually growing 1-8 m tall, but occasionally reaching up to 10 m in height. It flowers in mid winter and spring with long cylindrical, fluffy butter yellow blossoms.
This is an excellent coastal tree with only a useful life of 5-8 years, when planted around longer lived slow growing shrubs they offer protection during the establishment phase. Front Line Salt Tolerant, and copes well with wind and pollution.
