Introducing Corymbia aparrerinja, also referred to as ghost gum, this exquisite tree is a native of Central Australia.

Its bark is sleek to the touch and its leaves are slender and curved, while its flower buds are arranged in clusters of three or seven.

With its elegant white blooms and cup or cylinder-shaped fruits, Corymbia aparrerinja is a symbol of sophistication and prestige.

This regal tree can reach heights of 20 m (66 ft), though it often grows much shorter and is equipped with a lignotuber.

The smooth, powdery bark of this tree is a pale white or cream color with hints of pink, and is known to shed in delicate, translucent patches.

Flowering takes place in the summertime, producing stunning white flowers.

Corymbia aparrerinja is a dominant species in the dry, rocky regions of Central Australia, thriving on steep slopes, red sand flats, and dry creek beds.

Native to Western Australia, the Northern Territory, and Queensland, it has historical significance as the Tree of Knowledge in Barcaldine, where it played a role in the formation of the Australian Labor Party.

The tree also holds cultural significance in aboriginal Dreamtime stories and has gained recognition in 20th century art, particularly in the works of Albert Namatjira.
