Common name: River Red Gum

At times, the Eucalyptus camaldulensis subspecies arida can reach 30m tall, though it is often found to be much smaller.

Its bark remains smooth throughout and can give off a powdery texture, often appearing white or silvery grey with patches of pink, green, or brown.

Additionally, the branchlets of this species may be glaucous (covered with a white, waxy coating) or non-glaucous.

Flowering for this species typically occurs between November and January, as has been recorded in the past.

Notably, the Eucalyptus camaldulensis is the most widespread eucalypt species in Australia, found in every mainland state. It is often found growing along streams, regardless of whether the water flow is permanent, seasonal, or intermittent.
