Common name: Kingsmillii Mallee

The Eucalyptus kingsmillii is a stately tree, ranging from 1.5 to 8 metres in height, with rough fibrous bark on the trunk and smooth bark above.

Its elegant form and variable shape add a touch of sophistication to any garden. Blooming between April and October, its white-cream to red-pink flowers are highly decorative, with pink-red buds that open to delicate cream-yellow flowers, each about 3 centimetres in diameter.

This species is known for its drought tolerance, although it may be susceptible to scale. Originally found in the Pilbara, Mid West, and Goldfields-Esperance regions of Western Australia, it can also be seen in north western South Australia, typically on rocky rises and sand plains where it thrives in thin sandy soils over sandstone or ironstone.
