Eucalyptus Nicholii
Eucalyptus Nicholii, also known as Narrow Leaved Black Peppermint or Willow Peppermint, is an evergreen and native Australian tree with a neat pyramidal habit.
It thrives in shallow, nutrient-deprived soils commonly found in grassy or sclerophyll woodlands.
Despite its compact to medium-sized stature, this tree can reach a maximum height of 16m and a width of 12m.
Its trunk and branches are covered in robust, coarse, fibrous bark, while its slim adult leaves emit a strong peppermint fragrance when crushed.
The tree boasts white-colored flowers clustered in groups of seven and petite dome-shaped fruits.
Native to southeastern Australia, it is a popular choice for private gardens due to its attractive ornamental properties and water wise nature.
Its leaves, which are lanceolate in shape and a dull green-grey color, also known as Narrow Leaved Black Peppermint and Willow Peppermint.
