Albany Bottlebrush - Callistemon Glaucus seeds

The Albany Bottlebrush, scientifically known as Callistemon glaucus (formerly Callistemon specious) and commonly referred to as the Showy Bottlebrush, features stunning, abundant flowers that are the largest among all bottlebrushes.

Its rich scarlet cylindrical brushes measure 25cm (10") or more in length and bloom from early spring until summer, attracting nectar-feeding birds.

This hardy evergreen shrub can reach a height of 3m (10') and can spread up to 2m (7').

It is adaptable to both wet and dry conditions, making it suitable for most areas including coastal regions.

To protect the seeds and seedlings from predators such as snails and slugs, proper precautions should be taken.
