This variety of Callistemon Glaucus, also known as the Albany Bottlebrush, is a versatile shrub that can grow up to 2m and produces vibrant flowers in the spring and summer.

It is a popular choice for hedges and screens, particularly in cool or temperate climates.

Native to the south and south western coastal districts of Western Australia, this shrub thrives in swampy areas with sandy or clayey soils.

With its hardy nature, it can adapt to various soil conditions and thrives in full sun.

Its attractive bottlebrush flowers are known to attract birds and can even be used for bush food, as the sweet nectar can be consumed directly or made into a refreshing drink.

This outstanding shrub has blue-green leaves and beautiful scarlet flowers from August to March, growing to a height of 2-4m and a width of 1-3m.

For optimal growth, it is recommended to plant in wet to moist soils in full sun.

Excellent plant for hedging or as a privacy screen (prune after flowering).
