Casuarina Cunninghamiana, a member of the Casuarinaceae family, is native to Australia and New Guinea.

Its scientific name, family, genus, and kingdom are listed as: Casuarina cunninghamiana, Casuarinaceae, Casuarina, and Plantae, respectively.

This slow-growing native tree has foliage that extends to ground level and is useful for soil retention and erosion control.

Its tendency to produce suckers makes it ideal for planting along river banks or waterways.

The timber from this tree makes for excellent firewood and crafting material.

Not only is it an important food source for red and yellow tailed black cockatoos, but its canopy possesses a pyramidal shape with a height of 10-15 m and a spread of 6-10 m.

With a preference for full sun, it can thrive in a variety of landscapes and soil types, including clay and loam, with varying pH levels.

This drought-resistant tree requires minimal watering
