Common name:

Eremophila ovata is a petite shrub, measuring 0.5 metres in height and 1 metre in width.

The leaves are a rich, blue-green color and can reach up to 35 mm in length.

They come in an oval or elliptical shape and may be either fuzzy or smooth. The tubular flowers are a delicate lilac hue, spanning about 30 mm in length.

While they typically bloom in winter and spring, you may spot sporadic flowering throughout the year.

Its rounded fruits are approximately 7 mm in diameter.

This particular species is not extensively cultivated, but it thrives in dry climates with well-drained soils, making it a suitable choice for regions with moderate frost.

Although E.ovata is best suited to full sunlight, limited experimentation in humid, temperate areas has shown potential for growth.

Some reports have indicated that the plant may sprout new growth in certain areas, such as Alice Springs.
