 Common name: Warty Yate

 4-12m high.

Normally slender, erect, rather stiff tree with smooth grey or brownish bark.  Leaves are thick and glossy.  The tree features pendulous stalkless buds in groups with long, prominently warted,  gherkin-like caps. 

Large yellow-green flowers in profusion in Winter and Spring.  The caps are used as witch's finger nails by children.  Small tree which is suited to most soils in low or moderate rainfall areas.  Good honey tree.
