Melalueca Decussata ia apart of the family Myrtaceae. Also commonly known as cajeput, cross honey myrtle, and totem poles, is native to south-eastern Australia.

Melaleuca Decussata is a compact and bushy shrub that reaches a height and width of 3 m (10 ft).

The blooms begin in August and continue through May, with the majority appearing from November to February within its natural habitat.

Its flowers start out pink or purple but quickly fade to a pale white hue. The fruit that follows are fused woody capsules that are sunken into the stem's base, showcasing its distinctive characteristics.
