Corymbia torelliana

Corymbia torelliana, also known as cadaghi or cadaga, is an endemic tree to the northern region of Queensland.
Its bark ranges from smooth, greenish grey to white, with a rough base on more mature trees. Its mature leaves are egg-shaped, heart-shaped, or lance-shaped, while its flower buds grow in groups of three or seven.
The tree produces delicate white flowers and urn-shaped or spherical fruit.
Typically growing to a height of 25-30 meters, Corymbia torelliana has a smooth bark when young, but older trees develop a tessellated, greyish bark on the lower trunk.
Its flowering season occurs between August and November, with white flowers.
It usually inhabits wet sclerophyll forests, rainforest margins, and sometimes emerges in rainforests.
This species is native to Cooktown, Ingham, and the inland areas of the Windsor Tablelands, but its popularity as a fast-growing tree for gardens and landscaping.
