Murraya paniculata
Common name: Orange Jessamine
APPEARANCE: This shrub stands at a medium-tall height and boasts glossy dark green evergreen leaves, giving it a dense and luxurious appearance. Its highly scented white flowers bloom in spring and summer, with occasional flowering throughout the year in warmer climates. The fragrance is a heady indole-based scent that is commonly found in many white tropical flowers. Please note that this is not a seed-grown plant.
USE FOR: This shrub makes a perfect hedging plant or tall privacy screen, and should be planted in an area where the delightful scented flowers can be enjoyed. It responds well to regular clipping.
CLIMATE: For optimal growth and results, this plant should be planted in a frost-free location with regular watering.
PLANTING: Plant in a location with full sun to partial shade, in well-drained soil. A sunny spot will result in a longer and more abundant flowering season.
CARE: Enhance the foliage and blooms of the plant by trimming after it flowers. This will result in a thicker growth pattern and increase the abundance of blossoms for the next season.
