Acacia euthycarpa
Common Name: Wallowa or reed-leaf wattle.
Syn: Acacia calamifolia
3m high x 3m wide
This exquisite species can reach heights of 2-4 meters as a bush, though it may grow into a smaller tree up to 10 meters tall in certain varieties.
Its delicate blooms grace the landscape from August to November, thriving in scrub, woodland, and open woodland habitats, as well as rocky terrain.
This medium to large shrub is a stunner in the springtime and is ideal for creating windbreaks.
Its full, ground-hugging foliage is commonly found in South Australia, specifically in the lower regions such as Mount Finke, Gawler Ranges, Eyre Peninsula, Kangaroo Island, the Barossa, and south to Goolwa, extending eastward through the Murray Mallee. It is also a native species in Victoria.
