Common name: Grey honey mrytle, velvet Cushion.

Growing in the Myrtaceae family and known as the Honey Myrtle, this small shrub boasts beautiful white and cream flowers in the spring.

With a dense and evergreen growth habit, it is suitable for low maintenance gardens, courtyards, containers, coastal gardens, and even playgrounds.

The plant prefers well-drained and moist moderate drainage soil and can thrive in various climate zones, including warm temperate, cool temperate, and Mediterranean regions.

Its pH tolerance ranges from acid to neutral to alkaline, and it attracts beneficial wildlife such as bees and butterflies.

Additionally, it makes for a lovely addition to a bonsai collection and can even be used to produce honey.

Don't worry about light frost, as this hardy perennial can tolerate it. So whether you have loamy, sandy loam, clay loam, or even poor soil, the Melaleuca Honey myrtle will suit many different environments.
