This banksia is endemic to Western Australia. The scarlet banksia has an interesting soft hairy foliage often silver or pink with cute and furry baby flower buds.

This medium to large shrub has a red flower attracts nectar and seed eating birds, bees and other pollinators. 

Sow late winter early spring.

Benefit from smoke treatment for germination.
